The Minx X301 is an active subwoofer built around a 200mm (8") powered driver paired with an 8" passive radiator, which lets it produce low-frequency output from a cabinet smaller than many subwoofers in its class. A 300W digital amplifier drives it, and digital signal processing handles equalisation and dynamic range so it can play louder with less distortion.
Level, phase and crossover are adjustable, so the sub can be matched to the room and to the speakers it sits with. The crossover is active and variable from 50Hz to 200Hz. An auto on/off function powers the unit up when it detects an audio signal and switches it off when it is not in use.
The enclosure has a durable high-gloss lacquer finish in black or white, and measures 266 x 311 x 278mm with a weight of 7.5kg. It is positioned as the most powerful subwoofer in the Minx range and is intended for use alongside Minx satellite speakers or other home cinema and stereo setups.
