The Minx X201 is a powered subwoofer built around a 200 W digital amplifier and a 200 mm (6.5") active driver. Two 6.5" passive radiators work with the driver, so the cabinet can stay small while still reaching down to 36 Hz (-6 dB). It is designed for small to medium-sized rooms and for use alongside Minx compact speakers, though it can also be added to other speaker systems.
Digital signal processing handles equalisation and dynamic range, which allows higher listening levels with less distortion. Rear controls for volume, phase and crossover let the sub be matched to the speakers it accompanies; the active crossover is variable from 50 Hz to 200 Hz. An auto on/off function wakes the unit when it detects an audio signal and switches it off when it is not in use.
The compact cabinet measures 210 x 219 x 222 mm and weighs 5.0 kg. It is finished in a durable high-gloss lacquer, offered in black or white.
