Edge W is a two-channel power amplifier built around a short signal path of 14 hand-picked components. It is designed to reproduce sound with minimal coloration, and it delivers 100W RMS into 8 ohms and 200W RMS into 4 ohms. Distortion is below 0.002% at 1kHz at rated power into 8 ohms, and the frequency response extends from below 3Hz to above 80kHz (+/-1dB).
It has one balanced input (A3) and two unbalanced inputs (A1-A2), each with a 47k ohm input impedance. On the output side there are speaker terminals and a loop out. An Edge Link cable is supplied for connecting it to other components in the Edge range.
The chassis measures 150 x 460 x 405mm and weighs 31.4kg. Maximum power consumption is 1000W, falling to under 0.5W in standby. It comes in a grey finish. A power lead, user manual and warranty card are included in the box.
