The DacMagic 100 converts digital audio from sources such as a computer, TV or CD transport into an analogue signal. It uses a Wolfson WM8742 24-bit DAC and accepts input word widths of 16 to 24 bit at sampling frequencies from 32kHz up to 192kHz.
Measured figures include a frequency response of 20Hz to 20kHz (±0.1dB), a signal-to-noise ratio of -113dBr, total correlated jitter below 130pS and total harmonic distortion below 0.0025%. Crosstalk is below -130dB at 1kHz and below -112dB at 20kHz. The unbalanced output level is up to 2.3V rms from an output impedance under 50 ohms.
The unit is small, at 106 x 46 x 130mm and 0.5kg, and is supplied in black or silver. It is powered from a 12V DC / 2A supply and draws up to 5W. A USB cable is included in the box alongside the power supply and an adapter.
