The CXR120 is a seven-channel AV receiver that combines surround-sound amplification with the stereo amplifier design of the maker's hi-fi range. It has seven amplified speaker outputs and two subwoofer outputs, plus a 7.1 multi-channel analogue direct input for external decoders or players.
Video handling is built around HDMI 2.0 with HDCP 2.2: six HDMI inputs, one MHL-compatible input limited to 1080p, and two HDMI outputs, with ARC on HDMI 1. Audio inputs include three analogue, an FM/AM tuner, two coaxial and two optical digital inputs. A built-in StreamMagic module provides Wi-Fi and Ethernet streaming, Spotify Connect and internet radio, playing ALAC, WAV, FLAC, AIFF, WMA, MP3, AAC, OGG Vorbis and DSD (via HDMI).
Control and integration options include RS232C, IR input and output ports, two 12V trigger outputs, and an optional BT100 Bluetooth receiver, which is not supplied. A 6.35 mm headphone output is fitted on the unit.
