Network music player from Cambridge Audio's CX range, now listed as archived (V1). It streams from a UPnP library, Spotify Connect, AirPlay and internet radio, and has digital inputs and balanced XLR output for hi-fi systems.

The CXN (V1) is a network player built on the StreamMagic streaming platform. It plays a networked digital music library over UPnP, local USB media, internet radio and Spotify Connect, and also accepts AirPlay. Material is upsampled before conversion, using a second-generation ATF2 filter that outputs 24-bit/384kHz.
Conversion is handled by dual Wolfson WM8740 24-bit DACs followed by a 2-pole dual differential Bessel analogue filter. Analogue output is available on balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA. Supported file formats include ALAC, WAV, FLAC, AIFF, DSD (x64), WMA, MP3, AAC, HE AAC, AAC+ and OGG Vorbis.
For connectivity, a USB Type B input works as a USB audio input (profile 1.0 or 2.0, user selectable), and S/PDIF coaxial and TOSLINK optical inputs are provided. Coaxial and optical S/PDIF outputs are also fitted. An optional BT100 Bluetooth receiver can be added; it is not supplied. The unit comes in black or silver.
