The AXR85 is an integrated stereo receiver that combines a power amplifier, an FM/AM tuner and a phono stage in one chassis. It is rated at 85 watts into 8 ohms, with a damping factor above 50 and a frequency response of 5Hz–50kHz (-1dB).
The receiver has dual speaker outputs and a dedicated subwoofer output with a 200Hz second-order filter, where the level follows the main volume setting. Bass and treble controls are shelving types with up to ±10dB of boost or cut at 100Hz and 20kHz. The tuner covers European and US AM and FM bands, and connects through a 75 ohm coaxial FM aerial input and an AM loop or single-wire input.
Wireless music arrives over Bluetooth 5.0 with A2DP and AVRCP, using the SBC codec. A remote control is supplied. The unit is finished in grey and measures 110 x 430 x 340mm, weighing 8.1kg.
