Marine 8 is the larger of the two Marine loudspeakers in the range. It pairs a 25 mm (1 in) soft dome tweeter with a 200 mm (8 in) polypropylene cone bass/midrange driver in a 2-way system, covering 36 Hz to 26 kHz.
The enclosure is rated IP66 when installed, so it is built to cope with harsh marine conditions. Despite the 8-inch driver, it needs only 93 mm (3.7 in) of mounting depth and a 249 mm (9.8 in) cut-out, which allows fitting in many locations. A C8 pre-mount kit is listed for installation.
The speakers are passive and sold as a pair, with 90 dB sensitivity and an 8 ohm nominal impedance. They are matched to amplifiers delivering 20 W to 80 W. They are offered in black or white. A 6C back box is listed as an accessory but is stated as not suitable for marine applications.
