A reference centre-channel loudspeaker from the 800 D5 range, built as a 3-way vented-box design for home cinema. It suits owners of 803 D5 or 804 D5 front speakers who want a compact centre channel.

The HTM82 D5 is a 3-way vented-box centre-channel speaker. It combines a Diamond dome tweeter in a Solid Body Tweeter-on-Top housing, a 130 mm Continuum cone FST midrange unit and two 165 mm Aerofoil bass cones. Other listed technology includes an Anti-Resonance plug, Biomimetic Suspension, Matrix bracing and Flowport venting.
The quoted frequency response is 45 Hz to 28 kHz (±3 dB), with a -6 dB range of 33 Hz to 35 kHz. Sensitivity is 89 dB and nominal impedance is 8 Ω, dropping to a minimum of 3.0 Ω. The recommended amplifier power is 50 W to 200 W into 8 Ω on unclipped programme material.
The cabinet is 715 mm wide and 289 mm high including the tweeter, weighing 26.1 kg. It comes in Stealth Black, Warm White or Dark Walnut, with a black or grey grille depending on finish. The FS-HTM D5 floorstand is available as a separate matching accessory; stands are not included.
