The Formation Wedge is a single-cabinet wireless speaker built around five drivers: two double-dome tweeters, two midrange units and one subwoofer. The drivers are angled to produce stereo sound from one enclosure, and the frequency response is stated as 35Hz to 28kHz. Digital signal processing, a digital amplifier and dynamic EQ handle the sound tuning.
Streaming is handled over a network connection, either wired via RJ45 Ethernet or over WiFi. It supports Apple AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect and Roon Ready playback. Bluetooth 4.1 (Class 2) is also available as an input, with aptX HD, AAC and SBC codecs. The USB port is for service use only.
The speaker runs on 100V to 240V mains at 50/60Hz and draws below 6 watts in sleep mode. It measures 440mm wide, 232mm high and 243mm deep, weighs 6.5kg, and comes in black and silver finishes. The model is listed in the maker's archive section.
