CDA-2HD

The CDA-2HD is a two-channel distribution amplifier from Bowers & Wilkins, listed in the in-wall and in-ceiling speaker range. It is built for installed audio systems where a high-power amplifier is needed to drive architectural speakers.

On the processing side, it has DSP used to optimize the amplifier for the speakers it drives, along with a dynamic EQ function for subwoofers. A preset list is published for the unit, and firmware updates are available from the maker.

For integration, drivers are offered for Control4, Crestron Home and Crestron SIMPL control systems. The chassis is a 1U rack-mount design finished in black, and the maker supplies a manual, an info sheet, installation instructions and a technical drawing. It is sold through retailers and custom installers.
