The 805 D4 Signature is a compact two-way speaker with a vented-box enclosure. A 25 mm diamond dome tweeter sits in a solid-body housing on top of the cabinet, and a 165 mm Continuum cone handles bass and midrange. Rated frequency response is 42 Hz to 28 kHz ±3 dB, with a -6 dB point range of 34 Hz to 35 kHz.
The tweeter housing has an elongated form with a longer tube-loading system and a redesigned grille. The crossover is mounted at the rear on stiff aluminum spines, which keep the capacitors away from air pressure inside the enclosure and act as a heatsink. Other listed technologies are Matrix bracing, an anti-resonance plug and Flowport.
It uses conventional passive speaker connections with a nominal impedance of 8 Ω (minimum 4.6 Ω) and 88 dB sensitivity, and the maker recommends 50 W to 120 W amplifiers. Two cabinet finishes are offered, California Burl Gloss and Midnight Blue Metallic, with a black grille. Matching FS-805 D4 stands are sold separately.
