Leírás
The RC-5 records and plays back stereo loops through a single pedal switch that handles record, overdub, play, stop and undo/redo. Audio is converted at 32-bit and processed in 32-bit floating point. Total recording time across all memories is about 13 hours, and a reverse function lets loops be played backwards. A graphic LCD with an RGB backlight changes colour to show recording, overdub and playback states, and a multi-function knob is used to move through rhythms, kits and system settings.
The unit offers 57 rhythm patterns, each with two variations (A/B), and seven drum kits. A phrase memory stores the loop audio together with the chosen rhythm and kit, and there are 99 memories. Loops can be backed up to a computer over USB, and WAV files can be imported using the BOSS Tone Studio for RC software on Windows or macOS, so the pedal can also play back practice or backing material.
For wider control, a TRS jack accepts up to two external footswitches or an expression pedal. Mini TRS MIDI input and output jacks allow control from MIDI foot controllers and sync with drum machines or DAWs. Power comes from a 9 V alkaline battery or an optional PSA-series adaptor.
