Opis
The Katana Artist Gen 3 is a combo amplifier built around Tube Logic modelling and a Class AB power section. It offers six amp characters, including the new Pushed type, each with a variation, plus a Bloom switch that changes the amp's feel and response. A three-way Contour, three Global EQ options and three Cabinet Resonance settings shape the overall tone.
Five effects sections (Booster, Mod, FX, Delay and Reverb) provide 15 effects from the panel, with a separate Solo section for a level boost and delay. Eight Tone Setting memories store full amp and effect setups. A Power Control switch allows cranked-amp response at lower volumes, and the BOSS Tone Studio app for Windows, macOS, iOS and Android gives access to 60 effect types and deeper editing.
Connections include a send/return loop, Power Amp In, headphone output, XLR and 1/4-inch line outs with IR-based cabinet sound, USB-C for recording, MIDI in, and jacks for footswitches and an expression pedal. Up to two external speaker cabinets can be connected, and a second Katana can be linked with Stereo Expand. An optional BT-DUAL adaptor adds Bluetooth audio and wireless editing.
