The Sub1 is a powered bass module built around a 7" × 13" high-excursion RaceTrack driver. This driver shape allows a slim enclosure while aiming to match the output of traditional round drivers, so the cabinet takes up less room in a vehicle and on stage. It is the smaller of the two subwoofers offered for the L1 Pro32, next to the Sub2.
Several units can be stacked to add more low end, and stacking also enables a Cardioid Mode that steers bass toward the audience and reduces feedback. A maximum of two subwoofers per L1 Pro system is recommended to keep the tonal balance right. Selectable crossover modes are provided for use with other speakers.
With the L1 Pro32, the Sub1 connects through a single SubMatch cable that carries both audio and power, so no wall outlet is needed. Alternatively it can be fed from a balanced 1/4" audio cable, in which case it runs from wall power. Line input and output let it pair with other powered loudspeakers, and an integrated threaded pole mount supports use with the Bose S1 Pro PA and similar systems.
