The L1 Pro16 is a modular, three-piece portable PA built around a J-shaped line array of sixteen articulated 2-inch neodymium drivers. The array covers 180 degrees horizontally, with tighter vertical control at the top and wider dispersion at the bottom, so it suits both floor and raised-stage setups. A 10 × 18 in RaceTrack woofer in the power stand supplies the low end in a slimmer cabinet than a round driver of similar performance.
The power stand contains a built-in mixer with three channels and five inputs: two combo XLR/1/4-inch inputs with 48 V phantom power, a 1/4-inch input, a 1/8-inch (3.5 mm) aux input and Bluetooth audio streaming. Illuminated rotary encoders set volume, tone and reverb per channel. System EQ modes cover live, music and speech use, and ToneMatch presets for microphones and instruments are available.
Control is possible from a phone through the Bose Music app for Android and iOS, which also gives access to the ToneMatch library. A ToneMatch port carries power and digital audio to an optional Bose T4S or T8S mixer, a balanced XLR line output can feed another system or a console, and a USB-C port is used for firmware updates.
