The Yeti is a desktop USB microphone built around a three-capsule array that supports multiple pickup patterns. Controls for gain, instant mute and headphone monitoring sit on the mic body, so levels can be changed and the mic silenced without opening software. An internal shockmount protects the capsules from handling noise.
It works with Blue VO!CE, which is part of the free G HUB software. This adds EQ, a limiter, a depopper and voice effects such as pitch shifter, echo, reverb and chorus. It also includes HD audio samples and can record custom ones. The software is optional and must be downloaded and installed separately.
The mic connects to a computer or laptop over the supplied USB cable and needs no drivers. It sits on a desktop stand with an adjustable angle. The stand can be removed so the mic can go on a desktop boom arm. The page lists the Blackout colour, and Pink Dawn and White Mist as matching Aurora Collection options.
