TG I53

The TG I53 is a small cardioid condenser microphone aimed at instrument pick-up. Its wide frequency range and detailed reproduction let it cover everything from hi-hats and overheads to percussion, strings, brass, woodwinds and choir singing. A gentle treble lift suits acoustic guitar, flute and clarinet, and the capsule's high sensitivity allows longer placement distances from the source.

The housing is carbon-fibre reinforced, which keeps the microphone light while making it sturdy enough for stage use. It is assembled by hand in Heilbronn, Germany. The design uses Sound Channelling Technology, a system of acoustic labyrinths with tuned delay lines and attenuation pads that shapes the polar pattern and tonal character.

The microphone is a wired model with a 3-pin XLR connection. It is also part of the maker's Drum Set Pro M and L bundles. A wind screen (WS 53 AZ) and a microphone clamp (MA-CL 21) are available as accessories.
