XR18

The XR18 is a stage-box style digital mixer that is controlled entirely from a tablet or computer. It offers 16 programmable Midas-designed preamps, an Aux/Main bus structure with 6 aux buses plus Main L/R, and per-channel processing: low cut, 4-band parametric EQ, gate and compressor, with Simple and Expert modes. A 100-band real-time analyzer is available on channel and bus EQs.

Onboard processing includes four true-stereo (eight mono) effects engines taken from the X32 console, with reverbs, delays, modulation and compressor and EQ models inspired by classic studio hardware. Gain-sharing automixing, based on the Dan Dugan system, can manage up to 16 open microphones for panels and conferences.

For connection, the mixer has a built-in WiFi module that runs as an access point (up to 4 clients) or joins an existing network as a client. It also has an Ethernet port for wired control, an 18x18 bidirectional USB interface for recording to a computer or iPad, a MIDI I/O port for external controllers, and ULTRANET output for 16 channels of personal monitoring.
