The QX1832USB is an 18-input mixer with a 3/2-bus layout. It has six onboard XENYX mic preamps, channel EQs with a semi-parametric mid band, and single-knob compressors with a status LED that shows when the threshold is reached. Channel inserts are provided on inputs 1–4 for outboard effects.
Effects come from a Klark Teknik 24-bit multi-FX processor with 32 presets, dual addressable parameters, a Tap function, storable user settings and its own level meter. A stereo 9-band graphic EQ can be assigned to the main or monitor buses. The FBQ Feedback Detection System lights the LED on the matching EQ fader when feedback is found. Other features include full-sized faders for Monitor and FX sends, the XPQ 3D stereo widening effect and a Voice Canceller for removing vocals from pre-recorded material.
A bi-directional stereo USB audio interface connects the mixer to a PC or Mac with one cable, and recording and editing software is included. A dedicated connection accepts the optional ULTRALINK ULM Series 2.4 GHz digital wireless microphone system, which is ordered separately.
