SC-ADAT
A compact bridge that connects the StageConnect digital audio bus to ADAT/TOSLINK optical equipment. It suits stage and installation setups that need to link StageConnect systems with existing ADAT recorders, preamps and outboard gear.

The SC-ADAT converts between StageConnect and ADAT optical audio. It has two optical inputs and two optical outputs, which together carry 16 channels in and 16 channels out at 48 kHz and 24-bit resolution. This lets ADAT-equipped multitrack recorders, preamps and outboard racks join a StageConnect system.
On the StageConnect side, the unit handles 32 channels of bidirectional audio at 44.1 or 48 kHz and 24 bits, with latency below one millisecond. The bus runs over a standard XLR cable for shorter distances, or over a high-impedance DMX cable when a longer run is needed. Because the ADAT links use TOSLINK fiber, the optical connections are galvanically isolated, which avoids ground loops between devices.
The housing is a slim aluminum extrusion, about the size of a DI box. A mounting bracket is included so the unit can be fixed in place for permanent installations.
