The PRO VS MINI is a small-format reproduction of the Prophet VS vector synthesizer. Each voice has four oscillators that are blended and morphed with a joystick, drawing on a library of 128 waveforms that can be viewed on the built-in OLED display. The signal path includes an analog low-pass filter, separate envelopes for filter, amplifier and oscillators, and two LFOs.
Performance and composition tools include 27 touch-sensitive keys, a 16-step sequencer and an arpeggiator. Firmware 2.0 raises polyphony from four to five voices and adds arpeggiator hold and chord modes, portamento, new Ensemble and Reverb effect engines, a revised DCA model and a new set of factory presets. A studio-grade chorus is also included.
The unit is designed to travel in a backpack or gig bag, so it can be used away from a fixed studio setup.
