The MX400 is a compact utility mixer that combines four mono line-level signals into one output. Each input has its own level control, and a master output control sets the combined level. Typical uses include merging several headphone-monitor sources, combining drum machines into a single interface input, or blending a talk microphone with music for streaming.
The circuitry is analogue and designed for low noise so that summing stays transparent. The unit has no fan and is housed in a steel chassis small enough to sit behind other equipment in a rack or on a desk.
The output is a balanced 1/4" connection that can feed a mixer, audio interface or amplifier input. Power comes from an external 9 V DC supply that is included.
