The HA400 is a small headphone distribution amplifier built for situations where several musicians need to hear the same playback at once. It drives up to four pairs of headphones from a single source, and every output has its own level control so each listener sets a personal volume.
Inside are four high-power stereo amplifier stages designed to keep sound quality consistent even at maximum volume. The circuitry uses low-noise 4580 operational amplifiers, the same type used in larger audio equipment. It works with practically any headphones.
Power comes from a dedicated 12-volt DC adapter that is supplied with the unit. The text describes the HA400 as a way to share a monitor mix during recording without buying a larger distribution system.
