External digital stagebox and expander for the FLOW 4V field recorder/mixer. It adds four microphone preamps and two headphone outputs, taking the system to eight mic inputs, and is aimed at video production and on-set recording.

FLOW 4VIO extends a FLOW 4V by moving extra inputs and monitoring outside the main unit. It brings four more dual-stage mic preamps, so the combined system has eight, and two more headphone amplifiers, for three independent headphone outputs in total. The preamps use the same true 32-bit, dual-stage design as FLOW 4V and are specified for up to 142 dB of dynamic range.
The box connects to FLOW 4V with a single StageConnect cable that carries all signals and power. The link is uncompressed digital audio with sub-millisecond latency. Runs of up to 5 m are possible on standard XLR mic cable and up to 40 m on DMX cable. A StageConnect SC-RE Range Extender can double the cable length.
As a genuine StageConnect I/O box, it can also be combined with other StageConnect devices such as WING. The headphone amps can drive high-impedance over-ear headphones as well as lower-impedance in-ears without distortion.
