The DJX900USB is a 5-channel DJ mixer built around a 45 mm optical, contact-free crossfader with VCA control. A CF Curve control shapes the crossfader response, and its tension can be adjusted. The channel faders are VCA-controlled as well.
Inputs cover two dual-stereo Phono/Line channels, one Phono/CD channel and one Line/CD/USB channel, plus a dedicated microphone channel with a Mic On button and Talk level control. Enough phono preamps are fitted for up to three turntables. Every channel has its own Gain control and a 3-band EQ, with full kill on channels 1 to 4, which also have 10-LED metering. The mic channel has automatic talkover ducking and a 3-band EQ giving up to 15 dB boost or cut at 80 Hz, 2.5 kHz and 12 kHz.
The effects section uses 24-bit digital processing with parameters that can be changed live rather than fixed presets. An XPQ 3D stereo surround effect widens the stereo image. The built-in USB audio interface connects directly to a PC or Mac, giving access to a computer music library.
