The DICE 1U2 is an entry model in Behringer's four-interface DICE family. It is a 2x2 USB audio interface that records and plays back at up to 24-bit/192 kHz. It is aimed at musicians and home-studio users who want a compact computer-based recording setup.
All DICE models share the same redesigned mic preamps, which are rooted in Midas console engineering. They also share the same 24-bit/192 kHz converters. The stated goal is clean, detailed, low-noise recording whichever model is chosen.
The family runs from a single input up to four inputs and four outputs. Each model name gives the input and output count, inputs first. The 1U2 connects to a computer over USB and is positioned as the most affordable way into the range.
