Cur síos

The C112 is a dynamic microphone with a large diaphragm and a supercardioid polar pattern. Its frequency response runs from 50 Hz to 14 kHz, covering both the low-end body of a kick drum and the attack of the beater. It is specified for a maximum SPL of 150 dB, so it can be placed close to very loud sources.

Besides bass drum, it is positioned for bass cabinets, floor toms, trombones and other sources with strong low frequencies. The housing is die-cast metal, and the mic has a gold-plated XLR connector and an integrated stand mount that includes a 5/8" adapter.

As a dynamic design it does not need phantom power. It connects to a mixer or audio interface through its balanced XLR output, with a nominal impedance of 250 Ω.
