BDS-3
The BDS-3 is a four-channel analog drum synthesizer in Eurorack format, based on the circuitry of a late-1970s unit that turned any audio signal into a trigger for synthesized percussion. It suits modular users and drummers who want to trigger synth sounds from mics, MIDI or USB.
- 4 identical analog drum channels
- Eurorack format module
- Mic-triggered, velocity-sensitive inputs
- Triggering also via MIDI or USB
- Master/Effects section with LFO, pitch and Run Time
- LFO shape selectable: square or sine

The BDS-3 reproduces a 1970s analog drum synthesizer circuit, updated for modern setups. It has four identical drum channels plus a Master/Effects section that affects all of them. Each channel can add a click at the start of a sound, shorten or lengthen decay, bend the pitch up or down and shift the pitch of the incoming signal.
The channels can be triggered by a microphone placed on a drum, and the inputs respond to playing dynamics and are velocity sensitive. They can also be triggered over MIDI or USB. The Master/Effects section sets overall pitch, LFO rate, range and shape (square or sine), Run Time and Output Level.
The module is built in Eurorack format, so it can be mounted in a standard Eurorack case alongside other modular gear.
