Dark Matter
Dark Matter is a 13 HP Eurorack module that generates and processes audio feedback, with a drive stage, two-band EQ, envelope follower, crossfader and external feedback loop. It is aimed at modular players who want voltage-controlled overdrive and playable feedback.

Dark Matter is built around the idea of "no input" mixer feedback, where amplifier circuits are pushed past their normal limits. It brings that behaviour into a modular system and puts voltage control over most of the process. The signal path starts with an input VCA that provides gain and soft clipping, with a hyper drive switch for extra intensity, followed by a two-band equalizer with voltage-controlled bass and treble boost and overdrive.
An envelope follower tracks the input signal and outputs 0–5 V. It is normalized to the feedback CV and crossfade CV inputs, so it can drive ducking and gating effects without extra patching. It has low and high decay time settings, a pre or post drive input switch and a monitor LED. The feedback section has a voltage-controlled feedback level, a high-frequency warning LED, and an external loop with FBK OUT and FBK IN jacks, an output phase switch and a switch to put the feedback VCA in or out of the loop.
A voltage-controlled crossfader blends the input with the feedback signal, with a pre or post drive switch. The module has 10 input and output jacks for routing feedback through other modules in the rack. It uses a 10-pin power connector protected by a PTC fuse and diode.
