Lýsing

The D1P is a small external DAC and headphone amplifier that takes over digital-to-analog conversion from the host device's own sound hardware. It uses an ESS ES9219C converter with a Savitech SA9312 USB controller and handles PCM up to 32-bit/384 kHz, DSD up to DSD256 (native) and MQA, with built-in MQA rendering.

It has a USB-C input for computers and phones and an S/PDIF optical (TOSLINK) input for TVs and similar sources, limited to 24-bit/192 kHz. When both are connected, optical takes priority. A toggle switch sends the signal to either the 3.5 mm headphone jack or the RCA stereo output for powered speakers or an amplifier. Headphones from 10 to 600 ohms are supported.

Power comes over USB 5 V, so no battery or external supply is needed; any 5 V USB supply can power it when used with optical. An indicator light changes colour to show the sample rate or format. It works with iOS, Android, macOS and Windows, and a USB-C cable and Lightning-to-USB-C cable are supplied.
