The B2 is a single-cabinet powered stereo speaker with a built-in Class D amplifier and a digital-to-analog converter. It uses 2.75-inch aramid fiber woofers and 0.75-inch silk dome tweeters, and delivers 15 W RMS per channel. The cabinet comes in real wood walnut veneer or hi-gloss piano white, with a magnetic grille that attaches without screws.
Wireless playback uses Bluetooth with aptX, so it works with any phone, tablet or computer and with streaming apps such as TIDAL, Spotify and Pandora. Setup needs no network or passwords. Voice assistant devices such as Alexa can be paired to it over Bluetooth. A power-saving circuit switches off the final amplifier stage when music stops, so the speaker can be left on.
The rear panel has a stereo mini-jack input for wired sources such as turntables, tape decks or other analog gear. Some turntables may need a phono preamp first. The speaker runs on 110–120 V or 220–240 V mains with no switch and uses a 2-pin IEC C7 power cord.
