The ATH-CK2000Ti is a dynamic in-ear headphone built around housings that are individually machined and polished from solid titanium. The material is described as light yet stiff, which helps suppress unwanted resonance. Each unit carries a laser-engraved serial number on the housing.
Sound comes from a dual-phase push-pull driver arrangement using 9.8 mm and 8.8 mm drivers, with a Permendur magnetic circuit and DLC-coated diaphragms. The driver nearer the ear is the smaller one, which is intended to improve fit. The design is smaller and lighter than the maker's earlier push-pull drivers.
The cable is detachable via A2DC coaxial connectors with titanium sleeves. Two 1.2 m cables are supplied: a 3.5 mm stereo mini cable and a 4.4 mm 5-pole balanced cable. The star-quad 6N-OFC conductors keep left and right grounds separate to reduce crosstalk. A sheepskin semi-hard case, silicone ear tips and Comply foam tips are included.
