MiniBrute 2 is an analog monosynth that builds on the original MiniBrute with a second oscillator, a second LFO, extra frequency modulation routes and a loopable AD envelope. VCO 1 offers saw, pulse and triangle waves with Ultra Saw and Metalizer shaping, while VCO 2 adds sine, saw and square waves. The Steiner-Parker filter switches between low pass, high pass, band pass and notch modes, and the Brute Factor control adds anything from light drive to heavy intermodulation.
The instrument is semi-modular: every section is pre-routed, so it works with no cables, and a 48-point CV and gate patchbay on the right of the panel lets you rewire the voice and sequencer. Utility modules (inverter, attenuators, VCA) extend what the patchbay can do, and the synth can be paired with Eurorack modules or other CV-equipped gear.
Playing options include a 25-key velocity and aftertouch keyboard, an arpeggiator with several modes, and an 8-sequence step sequencer. Sync and control run over MIDI In/Out and USB, and the synth has line and headphone outputs plus an external audio input. It can be linked to a RackBrute case.
