Arturia MicroLab MK3

Arturia MicroLab MK3 - Portable MIDI control anywhere

The Arturia MicroLab MK3 is a 25-key MIDI controller built for making music away from the studio - on the sofa, on a train, or wherever a track starts to take shape. A slim velocity-sensitive keybed, two touch strips, and a single USB-C connection pack real playability into something that slips into a backpack.

Key Features

• 25 slim velocity-sensitive keys: Two octaves of responsive play in a palm-sized body.
• Dual touch strips: Swipe and tap for pitch bend, modulation, and browsing.
• Chord and Hold modes: Trigger full chords and sustain them from a single key.
• USB-C bus power: One cable carries power and MIDI for plug-and-play DAW setup.
• Mobile-ready: Works with iPad and Android devices through the right adapter.

Customer Benefits

The MicroLab MK3 keeps a sketchpad within reach when an idea lands away from the desk. Octave and semitone buttons cover the full range despite the two-octave footprint, while chord mode lets you block out progressions without spanning the whole keybed. With Analog Lab Intro and Ableton Live Lite bundled, you can go from first idea to recorded part the moment it arrives, no extra purchase needed.

Pros and Cons

✅ Pros:

• Genuinely pocketable without feeling flimsy
• Touch strips and chord mode add expression beyond the key count
• Single USB-C cable, no power brick to carry

⚠️ Cons:

• Two octaves means frequent octave shifting for wider parts
• Slim mini-keys suit sketching more than nuanced piano playing

If you write wherever the idea hits, the MicroLab MK3 turns travel time into studio time.
