Rack-format 8-channel mic/line preamp unit that works as a USB-C audio interface or as an ADAT expander for another interface. Suited to studios that need more analog inputs, mobile recording rigs and live-band tracking.

AudioFuse 8Pre combines eight DiscretePRO microphone preamps with 24-bit AD/DA conversion at up to 96 kHz. Channels 1 and 2 add instrument inputs, front and rear XLR/TRS combo connectors and balanced analog inserts for external line-level processors. A front-panel switch selects between USB interface mode and ADAT expander mode.
Outputs include eight individual analog line outputs, balanced TRS speaker outputs and a stereo headphone output on both 6.35 mm and 3.5 mm jacks, each with its own level control. A low-latency internal mixer handles direct monitoring. Clock source and sample rate are selected from the front panel, and a BNC word clock input and output/thru is provided.
It connects to a computer over USB-C (USB 2.0 compatible) and to other gear via double ADAT I/O. Two units can be cascaded over ADAT for 16 preamps. A Bluetooth receiver allows audio from a phone or tablet to be recorded or monitored. The AudioFuse Creative Suite plugin bundle is included, and the chassis is metal with removable rack ears and feet.
