The SA35 combines a Class G stereo amplifier (120W per channel into 8 ohms) with a network streaming platform built on a six-layer board. Digital conversion uses an ESS Hyperstream iV DAC in a balanced configuration. A linear toroidal transformer supplies the main circuitry, and a separate switching supply runs only in standby. A bonded 6.5-inch display shows album artwork and track information.
Streaming is handled through Apple AirPlay, Google Cast, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect and Qobuz Connect. It is also Roon Ready, and the Radia app covers setup, presets, internet radio and podcasts. Network files can be played via UPnP or from a USB-A mass storage input. Streamed audio is supported up to 32-bit/384kHz, plus DSD up to 256. Bluetooth 5.4 adds Snapdragon Sound, LE Audio and Auracast.
On the back are three analogue RCA inputs, including MM and MC phono, an HDMI eARC input, two coaxial and two optical digital inputs, and two subwoofer outputs. Dirac Live Room Correction is supported, and a measurement microphone is supplied. Wi-Fi is 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax on 2.4GHz and 5GHz.
