The hub connects to a laptop through a USB-C upstream cable and expands it into six ports: an HDMI output, a USB-C data port, a USB-A data port, SD and TF card slots, and a USB-C power input. The HDMI port drives a 4K display at 60Hz in either mirror or extended mode. The USB-C data port does not carry video.
A separate USB-C PD input accepts up to 100W and passes up to 85W on to the host laptop, so the laptop can charge while the hub is in use. Both card slots read UHS-I cards at up to 104 MB/s, and the USB-A and USB-C data ports run at 5Gbps. The upstream USB-C connection is rated at 10Gbps.
The body is small and light enough to carry in a pocket. If the hub blocks neighbouring ports on a laptop, it can be rotated 180° and reinserted. It works with USB-C laptops running Windows 10/11, macOS 13.5 or later, or ChromeOS, provided the laptop's USB-C port supports DP Alt Mode and Power Delivery. Some laptop models may still have adjacent ports blocked, so checking the dimensions first is advised.
