The ME-1 gives each performer control over their own monitor mix. Its 16 assignable keys can each be set to a mono or stereo source or to a group of channels, such as a whole drum kit, with level and pan available per source. A dimmable OLED screen shows names, levels, pan and meters. Mixes can be stored in 16 onboard presets, saved to USB and moved to other ME-1 units. Groups are built inside the unit, so they do not use up buses on the main console.
For listening, the unit has both 1/4" and 3.5mm mini-jack headphone outputs. A master 3-band EQ and an adjustable limiter (-24 dB to 0 dB) help shape the tone and protect the performer's ears. A top-panel ambient mic lets the performer hear the stage and audience without removing earpieces, and an aux input takes MP3 players or click tracks. A built-in signal generator is also included.
The ME-1 picks up channel names automatically from dLive, Avantis or SQ consoles, and custom names can be shown. It can run from mains or PoE, and units can be daisy-chained or connected through standard PoE Ethernet hubs. With other console brands it connects through the ME-U hub, using MADI or Dante option cards. A headphone hanger and mic stand bracket are supplied.
