Adam Audio H715 Reference – Open-Back Headphones for Mixing and Mastering
The H715 Reference is ADAM Audio’s flagship open-back headphone, designed as a genuine alternative to a full-range monitor system in a treated room.
Key Features
- 40 mm titanium-plated PEN drivers: 150 Ω transducers with neodymium magnets, tuned suspension and a patent-pending ventilation system
- Wide, clean response: 9 Hz – 40 kHz (-3 dB), up to 113 dB SPL with under 0.05% THD at 100 dB SPL
- Dedicated Hi-Fi mode: Activated with the included metal pin for true balanced audio from differential amplifiers
- Software by Sonnox: The Headphone Utility Plug-In and ListenHub add system-wide calibration plus metering, referencing and imaging tools
- Dual-sided connectivity: Connect the cable on the left or right ear cup, or double-entry with a balanced cable
- Built for long sessions: Spring steel headband, rotatable and magnetically detachable ear cups, memory foam padding, around 300 g
Customer Benefits
Headphone mixes often fail to translate because the headphone itself colours the picture. The H715 Reference starts from a wide, low-distortion response from 9 Hz to 40 kHz, so low end and top end are both visible when you make decisions. The Sonnox-built Headphone Utility Plug-In sits on your DAW’s master or monitoring channel, while ListenHub brings calibration, metering and A/B referencing to the whole system. The open-back design keeps long mixing and mastering sessions natural, and the replaceable ear pads, headband pad and detachable cables keep the headphone in service for years.
