The ARTist Sub is a small powered subwoofer built around a 7-inch paper-cone driver and a built-in PWM amplifier rated at 140 W RMS and 210 W music power. It covers 32 Hz to 150 Hz and reaches a peak level of at least 107 dB SPL at 1 m. Its compact footprint makes it suitable for nearfield monitors in limited spaces.
Two motorized potentiometers on the front panel set the input level and the crossover frequency, which is selectable from 50 to 150 Hz. The same settings can be changed from the listening position with the supplied wireless remote. A 0°/180° phase switch and a switchable 85 Hz high-pass filter for the satellite outputs help integrate the sub with the main monitors. The sub can also be switched on and off manually or with an optional foot switch, so monitoring without low frequencies is possible.
Analog inputs and outputs are provided on balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA (Cinch) connectors. It is available in glossy black or glossy white.
