Bitbox

Bitbox is a Series 1 Eurorack module that records, plays back and loops samples. A 3.5-inch touchscreen handles selecting, editing and adjusting samples. It plays up to 16 simultaneous samples from internal memory or up to 4 samples streamed from microSD, and can trigger them from the touchscreen, CV gate inputs or MIDI. Processing is 24-bit, 48kHz stereo.

Each sample can be adjusted for start position, length, pitch, gain, pan, loop mode and launch quantization. Up to 8 CV modulators can control pitch, gain, pan, start and length of all active samples. Launch modes include one-shot, toggle and gate, and playback can be immediate or synchronized to analog or MIDI clock. Recording can be stereo or mono, can be synchronized to clock inputs, and can run up to 4 hours. Presets are unlimited, and sets can be exported to Ableton Live.

WAV files are imported and exported through a microSD card using a Mac or PC. MIDI comes in over a TRS input. As a Series 1 module, it can load fxbox or synthbox firmware instead of the bitbox firmware.
